According to legend, in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, wars were frequent in Liuyang, and the people suffered a lot. The ordinary people hid in the deep mountains, put the rice and vegetables in the rice retort and cooked them together. There was no cooking smoke or whereabouts.
There have been several large population migrations in the history of Liuyang. Hakkas from Guangdong migrated to the Dawei Mountain area. They combined the Cantonese Youpan Rice (the predecessor of Claypot Rice) and the “one-pot cooked” diet, combined with rice retort, bamboo steamer and other utensils to integrate Liuyang’s native pickled food, vegetarian dishes and other ingredients have gradually formed a new way of eating—liuyang steamed food, which has both the lightness of Cantonese cuisine and the spicy characteristics of Hunan cuisine.
“The steamed dried food tastes good; the original flavor is more nutritious; the health and hygiene are not hot...” Liuyang steamed food have moved from the ordinary people's table to commercial catering, and the healthy diet has become one of the biggest advantages.
On January 27, 2015, Zhengliuji was born in the “Hometown of Steamed Vegetables in China”. Zhengliuji is a standard model brand for steamed vegetables in Liuyang. It is also the president unit of Liuyang Steamed Food Industry Association. It is committed to building the first brand of Chinese fast food, using healthy steamed food to meet the fast food needs of exquisite people who pursue life. The company has built the largest and most modernized central kitchen in Liuyang's steamed food industry in Liuyang Economic Development Zone, with a production workshop area of over 3,000 square meters and self-built cold chain logistics. In April 2020, the Puji Town Government of Liuyang City and the company signed an agreement to jointly build the “Liuyang Steamed Food Cultural Industrial Park”. The project invests about Rmb200mn and covers an area of 126 acres.
In the field of Chinese fast food, Zhengliuji pioneered the “ready-made standardization” and built a unique catering supply chain model of “100% dishes, fresh food, cold chain, daily serving, and shop” that is leading the fast food industry. After the standardization of fast food, the loss of taste is a pain point in the industry, which has made Chinese fast food more delicious, nutritious and healthier.
As of October 2020, Zhengliuji has more than 200 stores, and has gathered a large number of steamed vegetables and celebrities in the catering industry. The annual reception of the stores exceeds 15 million.
At present, Zhengliuji owns more than 10 cold-chain logistics delivery vehicles, and has established a strategic partnership with Juewei Logistics, a subsidiary of Juewei Duck Neck, with a daily distribution radius of more than 500 kilometers, creating a leading “fresh, cold chain” in the fast food industry, daily serving, in-store, 100% dishes collection and distribution catering supply chain.
At present, Zhengliuji is mainly deployed in the five provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Guangdong, and continues to make efforts to create “new catering retail”, accelerate the listing of enterprises, and strive to achieve the first enterprise with Rmb10bn  in the field of Chinese fast food.
